Soccer Shots at Charleston City FC

Charleston City FC, in partnership with Ridge Christian Academy, is excited to introduce Soccer Shots, a nationally recognized youth soccer program designed to introduce young players to the game in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment.Soccer Shots focuses on developing not only soccer skills but also character, confidence, and teamwork. Through engaging, age-appropriate activities, children learn the fundamentals of soccer while building important life skills such as respect, effort, and sportsmanship. Our program is perfect for young players who are new to soccer or looking for a positive first experience in the game. Each session combines skill development, imaginative games, and positive coaching to help players stay active and fall in love with soccer.

CURRICULUM

The Soccer Shots curriculum is carefully designed to meet the developmental needs of young children. Each session follows a structured plan that blends soccer fundamentals with character development and fun learning activities.Key elements of the curriculum include:

1. Soccer Skill Development

Players learn foundational soccer skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, and basic ball control through engaging games and activities.

2. Age-Appropriate Learning

Sessions are designed specifically for young players with activities that match their physical and cognitive development.

3. Character Building

Each week highlights a positive character word such as respect, teamwork, confidence, or determination, helping players grow both on and off the field.

4. Positive Coaching Environment

Our coaches create an encouraging atmosphere where every player feels supported, celebrated, and motivated to participate.

Creative games, stories, and interactive drills keep players excited and active while developing their love for soccer.
